This basil balsamic vinaigrette is a simple homemade dressing made with fresh basil, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. It blends together in minutes and is perfect for salads, tomatoes, or pasta.
Add all the ingredient for the dressing to the blender.
¼ cup balsamic vinegar, 3 tablespoons olive oil, ½ cup fresh basil, 2 tablespoon water, ½ teaspoon sea salt, ½ teaspoon garlic powder
Blend on high 1 minute until smooth.
Notes
Remove thick basil stems - Remove the thicker stems before blending so the dressing is smooth and not stringy.
Use a blender or food processor - You’ll need a blender, food processor, or immersion blender to fully break down the basil and create a smooth dressing.
Let it sit if oil solidifies - If the olive oil solidifies in the fridge, let the vinaigrette sit at room temperature for 5 to 15 minutes, then shake well.
Scaling the recipe - This recipe doubles well. Just make sure your blender or food processor has enough space to handle the larger volume.
Store properly - Store in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Shake well before using.
