The Best Sliced Baked Apples 


Healthy baked sliced apples are so easy to make and have just a few ingredients. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for dessert or serve with oats, pancakes or waffles for breakfast.

– Apples – Lemon juice – Cinnamon – Cloves – Arrowroot flour (or tapioca or cornstarch) – Chopped nuts (optional)

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 350F. Peel and slice the apples (about 1/8 inch thick)


Step 2

Place apples in a large bowl. Squeeze lemon juice over top and add cinnamon, ground cloves and arrowroot. Stir well to coat the apples.


Step 3

Transfer the apples to a 8X8 casserole dish and bake at 350F for 30 minutes.


Step 4

After 30 minutes, remove from oven, stir apples and add optional chopped nuts. Return to oven for 10 minutes.
