Sweet potato apple hash is the ultimate fall breakfast or side dish. Easy to make with just 6 ingredients, this healthy apple sweet potato hash is ready in 20 minutes in just one pan.

Ingredients

- 1 pound sweet potatoes - 1/2 cup water - 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil - 2 small apples (granny smith, fuji, pink lady) - 2 tbsp. fresh sage - 1/2 tsp. garlic powder - 1/2 tsp salt

Wash the sweet potatoes. Cut them into 1/2 inch cubes.

Preheat a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add potatoes and 1/2 cup water and cover with tight fitting lid.

Steam the potatoes for 7 minutes with the lid on.

While sweet potatoes are cooking, peel and chop apples into 1/2 inch cubes.

Finely chop the fresh sage.

After steaming for 7 minutes, remove lid and add olive oil to sweet potatoes. Toss to coat and cook 3 minutes.

Add apples, sage and spices to the sweet potatoes. Cook 5-7 more minutes.
