Easy Black Bean Burgers


Easy black bean burgers have just 5 ingredients and are perfect for weeknight meals! You can make these in advance too, making them great for meal prep! Vegan, gluten free, plant based!

2 cups cooked black beans3 tbsp. ground flax1 medium zucchini1 tbsp chili powder1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)1/2 tsp ground cumin (optional)

Step 1

Rinse and drain the black beans. Add the 1/2 of the black beans and ground flax to a large bowl. Mash the beans with a fork.


Step 2

Grate the zucchini and squeeze out excess liquid.


Step 3

Add zucchini, the rest of the black beans and the spices to the mashed black bean mixture.


Step 4

Form into burgers, you will make about 6 similar sized burgers for this.


Step 5

Cook on a preheated skillet for 6 minutes, flip and cook 4 more minutes.


These vegan black bean burgers also freeze well, so you can make them in advance and reheat on the stove or in the air fryer for a quick lunch.
