I wanted to take the time today to tell you guys about Yummly. Have you set up your account yet? No matter what your cooking experience level is, there are recipes there for you! Similar to Pinterest, you will quickly be in recipe inspiration land over at Yummly. I might have gotten lost in a 4 hour food gawking state going through recipes.
There are some great features of Yummly that I haven’t found in other food sites. You can filter recipes by holiday, cuisine, taste, diet, nutrition, allergy, cook time, technique, and more. I love this feature, especially now when I’m looking for a gluten free or a pescatarain dish.
When you set up your Yummly account, you set your taste preferences. They have so many different cuisines to choose from. Check out the list!
You can create boards just like in Pinterest. Maybe you want “a weekday meals” board and a “for special occasions” and “sweet tooth” boards. The possibilities are endless. I love this because you can easily create your own online cookbook!
Do you have food allergies or have a specific diet? Vegan? Dairy free? Nut free? You can let Yummly know that when you are setting up your profile and your searches will automatically know this when suggesting food for you!
Want a recipes with just the items you have on hand? No problem, Yummly has filters in the search where you can specify with and without filters when looking for a recipe for dinner tonight! They even have iPhone and Android apps so when you’re on the go and looking for an easy meal, you can find one to make on Yummly so you have a plan when you get home. I love having this app on my iPhone.
You create your own boards and save recipes with Yummly. I would love if you used the yummly button on the right side bar or above the comments section (below) to save your favorite recipes of mine to yummly! Check it out today!
