Whole30 Spaghetti Sauce
Whole30 Spaghetti sauce is quick, easy and the perfect healthy pasta sauce without any added sugar. This vegan, low fat, dairy free sauce comes together quickly and is easy enough for any weeknight meal. Ready in under 5 minutes
Use an immersion blender to break up the tomatoes and combine the ingredients. I like to leave the sauce slightly chunky.
Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks in a well sealed container.
Notes
Make this recipe even easier by using canned crushed tomatoes. You won't need an immersion blender, you can just mix the ingredients together and serve.
You can store any leftover marinara in the fridge in a airtight container (I love large mason jars for this) for up to 2 weeks.
You can freeze leftover sauce for up to 2 months. Be sure to cool the sauce completely before placing it in the freezer.
TIP: Freeze the marinara in silicone ice cube trays to make it easy to portion out leftovers if you don’t plan on using them all at once. Plus, this makes reheating much quicker!
Reheat leftover marinara in the microwave 30 seconds at a time, stirring well until heated through, or on the stove for 3-7 minutes on medium low heat, covered, stirring well.
Add more flavor:
Saute fresh garlic and onions (1-2 cloves of garlic and 1 white onion)
Roasted red peppers
Steamed carrots for added sweetness
Cooked ground beef or ground turkey
Sundried tomatoes
Sauteed spinach or kale (may need to add some extra salt)
Red pepper flakes
