Air Fryer Frozen Asparagus
Air fryer frozen asparagus is so easy to make and ready in just 11 minutes. You can make frozen asparagus in the air fryer without having to defrost it makes this the perfect side dish for a weeknight meals.
Place the frozen asparagus in the air fryer basket.
Spray the asparagus with olive oil spray or avocado oil spray and sprinkle half the salt over the asparagus.
Put in a 390F air fryer for 11 minutes. After 5 minutes, pause the air fryer and shake the basket. Add the rest of the salt and continue cooking in the air fryer.
With 2 minutes left, pause the air fryer again and shake the basket. Finish cooking then serve hot.
Shake the air fryer basket a few times during cooking to ensure the asparagus cooks evenly.
Be sure that the oil spray you are using doesn't have any added propellants, as those can damage the coating on your air fryer baskets.
If you don't have olive oil or avocado oil spray, add the frozen asparagus to a bowl with olive oil, avocado oil, meted butter, ghee or coconut oil.
Cooking times may vary based on how thick or thin the asparagus is and the brand of air fryer you have. Thicker asparagus may require more time to cook, thinner asparagus may require less time.
Storing leftovers
Fridge: Store leftovers in the air fryer in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
Reheating leftovers: Reheat in a 390F air fryer for 3-5 minutes. You can also microwave on high for 1-1:30.
You could also enjoy leftovers cold in a salad or stirred into another dish like frittata or pasta to be reheated.
