Place your saute pan on medium to medium high heat and allow to heat up for 1-2 minutes. Once hot (you can drop water onto the skillet, it it sizzles you are good).
Add the salt and pepper to the salmon fillets.
Take the hot pan off the heat and spray with the coconut oil and immediately add the salmon, skin side down (so the skin is touching the skillet). Allow to cook for 2 minutes.
Immediately transfer to the oven under the preheated broiler. Cook for 5 minutes.
Remove from oven (use ovenmits) and allow to cool 1-2 minutes.
Serve with your favorite sides!
