– Chickpeas – Coconut aminos (soy sauce) – Rice wine vinegar – Maple syrup – Grated ginger – Dried chives – Salt – Garlic powder – Arrowroot powder – Water

Step 1

Combine the coconut aminos, rice wine vinegar, maple syrup and spices in a bowl.


Step 2

Add the arrowroot and water to a small bowl. Stir wtih a fork until dissolved.


Step 3

Add the arrowroot slurry to the teriyaki sauce and stir well.


Step 4

Pour the sauce into a skillet and heat over medium heat for 5-8 minutes (stirring regularly) until the sauce begins to thicken..


Step 5

Rinse and drain the chickpeas and add them to the pan.


Step 6

Cook for 3-5 minutes until the chickpeas are well coated with the sauce and warmed through.
