So I mentioned last week that I've been making friends with the elliptical machine. Well I figured I would share my sweaty workout so you too could feel the wrath of this elliptical workout.
If you are anything like me you have avoided the elliptical, deeming it inferior to running on the treadmill. I mean if I have to be miserable on a piece of gym equipment, I might as well try to decrease my mile time right ? But the treadmill and I just cannot be friends some days. Especially after 2 or 3 days of sprints. Note, I love cardio, but not running on the treadmill, I watch the time and the seconds seem to take forever. This my friends is not fun!
And once I learned how much the elliptical can kick my butt, it was only natural I'd soon become addicted. So I've started this fun routine I'm sharing with you today. It looks pretty simple until you read that you will be in a squat for 2 minutes at a time. Lol that's my favorite part, in case you were wondering.

Some of my other favorite things from this week. Well I finally did my homework, talked to a few people and decided on a personal training program! I am now working towards getting my CPT from NASM. The other thing I'm seriously loving this week, my new 5:30 am spin class on Wednesday mornings!! I've also taken over the Saturday morning 9am class at the gym! I've been subbing for the better part of 6 months and it was time to get a regular class or two 🙂 I just love teaching so much! My play list collection is in serious need of some overhauling, so again, I'll be on pinterest searching for spin playlists. If you have one, leave me a note 🙂
Ok here is the elliptical workout, guaranteed to make you SWEAT!! I'm excited to share this with you, as this elliptical workout is a great way to torch calories and burn fat. The squats will make you seriously question why you don't do this workout more often! It's a killer!!
Below you can see that when you are squatting back you need to really get into your legs and concentrate vs. the more fluid motion of going forward. Try to keep your intensity up the entire workout after the warmup. As you increase the resistance, try not to decrease on your speed to much.
