Happy Friday everyone! I seriously cannot believe how cold it’s been here in the South! It was 7 degrees this morning. I’m sure some of you will laugh at this, but we don’t have the proper clothing to deal with this kind of weather. I’m so ready for spring! How about you? Luckily, I made a huge batch of the best ever mushroom soup on Sunday night and have all the ingredient for my two bean chili for this weekend!! So let’s discuss some of my Friday Favorites!
I’ve been doing my best at staying motivated in the gym, but I have to admit, I’ve been spending so much time doing HIIT’s on the treadmill (dreadmill) and the elliptical, that I’m about to make my head spin! I’ve been studying for my personal training certification at lunch, so my fun HIIT workouts have been on hold temporarily. However, that is going to have to change because HIIT’s are the only way I find cardio fun! Running outside is great, but not in the cold. With that being said, I don’t have a new workout to share with you guys today 🙁 . But I wanted to share with you my favorite tricep exercise! The tricep dip! These seriously kill me! Friday Favorite for sure!
As you can see in the video, to perform a tricep dip, you will want to place your hand on a bench right next to your hips. Lift your hips forward and dip down, until your elbows are at 90 degrees and your upper arms are parallel to the floor. You will want to keep your back as close to the bench as possible . You can make dips easier by keeping your feet close to you, and the more advanced version will have your legs straight or on another bench. These are great to add to your weight lifting routine and you will feel them fast! Want more tricep exercises? Check out our beginners series!

Dave wrote a post this week so I got a day off!! He’s my favorite 🙂 He handles everything technical on this blog, and I’m really very grateful for everything he does/knows! He had me proof read his post and I was like oh my gosh do we have all this stuff?! My other favorite thing from the week, I did the tax return for our partnership this week (with Dave’s help of course)! Oh bless that’s a special kind of fun. I’m a CPA, and I figured our simple return would be no problem. HAHA that’s always the way it goes right! I will be working on my personal taxes this weekend so if you see me pulling my hair out on instagram, you know why! Anyone else stressed out over taxes? UGH! Definitely not a Friday Favorite.

Yoga! I will be practicing this weekend. I’m teaching spin on Saturday morning (horray) and might go for the 75 minute class right after spin. I feel like I really need a good vinyasa class right now, I’ve been feeling very couped up indoors and yoga is all I can think about! Yoga is so freeing, and I think it’s exactly what I need to cure my cabin fever!
