Saturday morning tradition in my house was always filled with big fluffy pancakes covered in sticky syrup and powdered sugar.
As I got older, I would experiment with whole wheat flour and buttermilk concoctions. While amazing, these morning breakfast eats would leave me feeling full, only to be hungry again a short time after. With my new found love for health and fitness this made my Saturday morning tradition hard to continue to swallow!
Protein, the great and powerful was missing. Slow digesting carbs, my workout buddy was missing. I was on a mission to make a fluffy yet delicious pancake that was full of protein, clean, nutrition, and easy enough to make in my early morning daze.
Hence the Pancake Warrior’s protein pancake was born. Saturday mornings are meant for pancakes!
Today, when people think about dieting or eating clean healthy food they think of mediocre, boring, and tasteless eats. Being the rebel I am, I refuse to eat bland food! I crave deliciousness. Yet my creations are packed with clean, healthy, and limited ingredients.
Two dogs, two cats, a full time job, and my boyfriend (Dave) I need my recipes simple. I do not have time to spend slaving in the kitchen. I want to be out at the gym!
