Build a Better Butt with this workout! I see so many squat and butt workout challenges floating around various blogs and Pinterest lately, I knew I had to build a workout with some of my favorite moves. Maybe they are some of yours too! Everyone wants a better butt right?
I’ve mentioned before that legs day at the gym has to be one of my favorite workouts! I’m constantly looking for ways to change up my routine though, and adding my favorite moves into a HIIT workout is my go to strategy when I’m short on time! I also love to do my Booty Burner workout 1 or 2 times a week on my rest days to get my heart rate up with low intensity movements and still build muscle.
This workout is 20 minutes of glorious booty building exercises! My legs were shaking by the end, which is always a sign of a great workout! Added bonus, these exercises also challenge your core, so be sure to keep your entire body engaged through the moves.
Set your intention early on. See how many reps you can get through in the first round before you are tired, then aim to get that number in the end of the workout! This workout is quick but extremely effective at burning calories and help build muscle! Nothing better than getting your cardio and building a better butt!
Mountain climbers with sliders – I love the added the challenge of sliders, they really help me engage my core and drive my knees up into my chest with less impact on the joints.
Lunge back bicep curls – I love a dynamic movement! Working the upper body and lower body at the same time is a great strategy when you are short on time. It also challenges the stabilizing muscles in the body, and helps you blast fat and burn calories without jumping around!
Kettlebell swings – I really love working with kettlebells. The movement is so fluid, and I really have to work to keep my back flat and stomach tight during this move! Remember push your butt back and keep that back flat as you hinge at the hips, however, you should not be slumping your shoulders over during this, back stays flat! The back stays flat and eyes should stay fixed on a single point throughout the move to ensure you aren’t bending over. Choose a weight that is challenging, but remember you are aiming to go the entire 30 seconds without breaking, so use something manageable!
Squat side kicks – the squats alone will have that booty burning. Add a side kick and your obliques will have to join the party! Work hard to get your foot just as high later in the workout when you are tired!
