I mentioned on Wednesday that I am getting back on track with my eating regime, and will be focusing on eating whole, unprocessed, clean meals through the week. What I didn’t mention was that I also really needed to get back into my gym routine! I’m happy to say that I’m back at the gym during lunch and have had a great time coming up with new routines. The 15 minute total body workout I’m posting today was a real killer.
I have to be honest here. Most days I really just want to go to TCBY and eat froyo instead of walk into the gym. Seriously, this is where I park my car everyday to walk into the gym.
I have to say I’m pretty impressed with my willpower. This girl LOVES
all the candy on top on frozen yogurt!
So I did this 15 minute total body workout in the group fitness room at the gym. Normally I have the room all to my self but not today. I’m actually kind of glad there was someone else in the room today because he was training hard and I was able to feed off of his energy and really push through when my workout got tough. I thought to myself at one point “It’s pretty bad when you look forward to the burpees”. LOL
The frog jumps are intense. I ended up doing 10 frog jumps and then would do frog jacks until the timer went off during the last 3 rounds. I love workouts like this though. I will certainty revisit this workout and try to get the full 20 seconds of frog jumps later this month!
I worked up a crazy sweat and was SO HAPPY to be done! I sent Dave a text with this picture, which he responded to me “Your shoulders look amazing!” I have to say, I agree! The workout I did on Tuesday was such a great shoulder workout; it incorporated weights and high intensity cardio, and I was done in 15 minutes!
This weekend I have TONS of things planned that I need to do. Recipes to try, projects for the blog to finish, all of which I’m sure will make great posts for next week!
